The Beginning of Ramadan

Hilāl (the crescent) is typically a day (or more) after the astronomical new moon. For the year of 1437 Hijri, the first day of Ramadan was determined to be June 6, 2016.

During Ramadan Muslims observe fast hence all restaurants are closed for breakfast and Lunch and other snacks however some restaurants do open to cater for the non Muslim residents and tourists visiting Dubai.
